Sunny Spicy Love Fest

Return to Sun and Spice

Sometimes, things just take a little while. The Universe stops moving, people freeze in mid-sentence with their mouths open, a cat gets stuck in mid-air tumbling of the neighbor’s roof, and nine months pass between somebody’s blog posts. Seriously, this happens.

Don’t chalk it up to laziness, though. It has been anything but that. Since April 2016 I have been on the road almost constantly, not stuck in mid-air, unless of course you mean on board an airplane, so in that case, yeah. I have visited ten countries, including six visits to Mexico. For whatever reason, the blog lay dormant, well guess what? It’s back!

Given the time between the last post and now, I think a reset seems appropriate, both of what this blog is about and what I hope you all get out of it. Mexico is and will continue to be the centerpiece, and I hope you travel there. I hope you live it, love it, and keep returning. I hope these pages and photographs inspire you to learn Spanish if you don’t speak it, to eat some insanely spicy chile and even to paint your walls bright yellow at home. I also you hope you take with you a little bit of the love and warmth of the Mexican people. Here in the United States, we could learn a lot from their zeal.

We will also consider other Sunny, Spicy places. As a traveler, I am not always in Mexico or surrounded by Mexicans, but often find myself in the sunshine with spicy people eating spicy cuisine. You may see some of the Caribbean, or parts of the United States, or Guatemala, South America, or any other part of the world. We are celebrating Sun and Spice here, and I don’t just mean spices for cooking. I mean passion, wildly shaking hips, you know…

Enjoy it, and feel free to comment or to Contact Me  . Happy reading, and happy sun worshipping!
